Nordiq Canada has awarded the organization of the 2024 Nordiq Canada Ski Nationals to Évènements Nordiques Gatineau Nordic Events (ENGNE). The event will take place in at Nakkertok Ski Centre, from March 10 to 16. It will be the last major national cross-country ski race for the season. The Outaouais region will welcome the event, for the 12th time. The Nationals were first held on Mont-Royal, in Montreal, in 1921 and this will be the 96th edition of the Championships.

Over 750 skiers from across Canada are expected to take part in the event. The Ski Nationals were last held in Gatineau in 2019.

John Halvorsen, Co-chair of the Organizing Committee, said: « The Outaouais region is one of the premiere cross-country ski destinations in Canada and ENGNE, in partnership with Gatineau and Tourisme Outaouais, has established itself a world class host organization capable of producing Canada Cups to World Cups. This year’s Nordiq Canada Ski Nationals will bring over 750 of Canada’s Top Talents to Gatineau to showcase the region and the growing strength of Canadian Skiing. We are very excited and hope the whole region will come out and cheer and enjoy the season finale. »

We will provide the event program and list of participants as the event approaches. The media will be invited to visit the Nakkertrak in the coming weeks and cover the event from March 10 to 16. Tentative plans include an opportunity for media to meet with athletes and organizers on March 9th. Please contact us for more details.
